About the bank
JSC Moscow Credit Bank – briefly MKB – a non-state public bank operating in 22 federal districts of the country. It was founded in 1992 by Moscow entrepreneur Boris Borisov. V. A. Kukhtarov became the Chairman of the Management Board. On August 19, MKB received license No. 1978 for banking operations, and on December 2, 1993, a license for banking operations in foreign currency other than the ruble.
1994 – the composition of founders was expanded, and it was acquired by Roman Avdeev. The entrepreneur developed other areas besides the bank, such as construction. MKB issued money to developers and sold real estate.
1995 – change of legal form to LLC "Commercial Bank MKB", the management was headed by entrepreneur Valery Komarovsky. In the same year 1995, the bank became one of the top hundred largest financial organizations in Russia.
2000 – 2012 – several chairmen of the management board changed, and in 2012 Vladimir Chubar became the chairman.
2015 – an IPO was carried out, resulting in the attraction of 13.2 billion RUB in capital. In December, an SPO took place, completing the attraction of 16.5 billion RUB.
2016 – MKB bought SKS Bank. In March, issuing loans became the dominant activity of the bank. Private deposits also grew by +15.4%. On September 13, 2017, the Central Bank included MKB in the list of systemically important credit institutions in the country.
June 2018 – MKB sold 100% of the shares of "MKB - Leasing" to a subsidiary; in February 2019 – submitted a petition to the Federal Antimonopoly Service to acquire 99.9% of the shares of Asia-Pacific Bank.
2019 – launch of a universal loan issuance platform where clients choose the deposit storage term themselves.
May 18, 2020 – MKB's purchase from "Region" of Rusnarbank (2.97 billion RUB) and Vesta Bank (1.08 billion RUB).
2022 – sale of MKB's Rusnarbank to a group of shareholders – 11 individuals with 9.1% each.
For a long time, the bank was strategically supported by Rosneft, which issued a subordinated loan of 300 million USD in 2015, and in autumn 2017, two structures within the oil company jointly invested 22 billion RUB as subordinated deposits.
Moscow Credit Bank belongs to the Rossium concern, owned by Roman Avdeev (55.42% of shares). Other shareholders:

- 3.25% EBRD;
- 20,3% free – float;
- 3.15% – other shareholders.
Since June 2022, the Chairman of the Management Board is Nikolai Katorzhnov.
