Editorial auto-review: Cash loan at Uralsib is a program for borrowers aged 21 and older, offering up to 3,000,000 RUB for a term of up to 7 years. The minimum loan amount is 100,000 RUB, making the product focused on medium and large expenses. The application is reviewed quickly — from 10 minutes, which is convenient when there is an urgent financial need. Lending terms imply an individual calculation of the rate, which can start from 3.9% per annum. The final overpayment depends on the amount, term, and the bank's assessment of the client's solvency. The product is available for processing both at branches and online via an application on the website. It is important to consider that the final decision and transaction parameters are approved by the bank after analyzing the applicant's financial situation. Before submitting an application, you should read the full terms of the agreement and the payment schedule.

If a person has a bad credit history, there is a high probability that banks will refuse them a loan. But a negative credit history doesn't mean a person won't be approved for a loan at all. Almost any borrower can improve their credit history. We explain how to do this below.

Can you improve your credit history with a loan?
If your credit history is not too bad, it can be improved using credit products: microloans, credit cards, and loans. We will explain how to do this.
Microloans
The essence of microloans is getting a small amount (up to 30,000 RUB) for a short term (up to 30 days). The main advantage of microloans is the high probability of application approval, and the main disadvantage is the large overpayment. As a rule, it is 0.8% per day or 292% per annum.
We do not recommend using microloans to improve your financial situation. However, they are worth considering if you want to improve your credit history. To fix your credit history, take an amount that you are certain you can return on time without any overdues. You need to do this several times.
At the same time, we recommend contacting microfinance organizations that have special offers for new clients — the first loan at 0% per day.
Credit cards
Credit cards are also well-suited for improving credit history. Getting a credit card is a bit harder than a microloan, but much easier than a consumer loan. To restore your credit history, actively use the card and make mandatory minimum payments on time. At the same time, the credit limit approved by the bank does not matter. The main thing is to follow the payment schedule and avoid overdues.
You can pay off old debts using certain credit cards. For this purpose, many banks offer a debt refinancing service for credit cards and loans.
Loans
Here, the process of improving credit history is the same as with microloans. To restore your credit history, apply for a loan with an amount and monthly payment that you can afford to pay without overdues. You need to do this several times until your rating increases.
Some banks have special credit history improvement programs. For example, Sovcombank has the "Credit Doctor" program.
Why are loans denied?
There are several reasons for loan denials. Among them are the following:
- Low rating. Some borrowers have such a ruined credit history that even the least reliable and least popular microfinance organizations turn them down. Such people will be denied even the smallest loan. Most likely, credit history improvement programs will also be unavailable to them.
- High debt load. If a borrower already has many loans and microloans, they will be denied new products, even if they are needed to restore their credit history.
- Criminal record. Banks will refuse with almost a 100% probability if a potential borrower has a criminal record related to financial fraud.
- Lack of official employment and income. If a person has no official earnings, they cannot confirm their solvency. Combined with a poor credit history, this becomes a valid reason for loan denial.
Which banks should you apply to for a loan to improve your credit history?
If you have a low borrower rating, you can take out a loan to improve it. To do this, it is best to choose either loyal popular banks or companies that have opened recently and are still building their client base. We recommend using the services of the following banks.
