About the card
"Mudrost" is a profitable debit card for retirees. With it, older adults can receive profitable cashback on purchases, including at pharmacies, and up to 14% per annum on the account balance. Special conditions for cash withdrawals are also provided for retirees. They can withdraw cash without commission at ATMs of any bank for amounts starting from 3,000 RUB per transaction and up to 30,000 RUB per month. In the article, we discuss the current terms of debit card maintenance and how to apply for it in 2024.
Terms
Issuing the debit card is free. You also won't have to pay for reissuing it when it expires, nor for the first and second reissuances initiated by you. For the third and subsequent reissuances, you will have to pay a one-time fee of 850 RUB.
If you want to receive information about deposits and withdrawals from your account, you can activate the SMS banking service. It is free for the entire validity period of the card.
You can top up your debit card account for free using standard methods:
- in cash at Moscow Credit Bank branches;
- via transfers from other banks by card number;
- via transfers from other banks by phone number through the FPS.
You can withdraw cash without commission at ATMs of Moscow Credit Bank, Alfa-Bank, Raiffeisenbank, and UniCredit Bank without limits. You can also do this at ATMs of other banks for amounts from 3,000 RUB per transaction up to 30,000 RUB per month. If limits are exceeded, you will have to pay 1.95%, but not less than 300 RUB.
You can transfer money to other banks without commission only by phone number via the Faster Payments System (FPS) for amounts up to 100,000 RUB per month. If this limit is exceeded, you will need to pay a commission of 0.5%, but no more than 1,500 RUB.
This debit card features a quite profitable bonus program. Every month, you can choose three new increased cashback categories and get up to 5% of the purchase price back. Among these categories, “Pharmacies” is always available, which is important for pensioners. The card also offers increased cashback at partner stores. You can get up to 25% back on such purchases.
The card also provides bonuses from the “Hello, Mir!” loyalty program. Through it, you can get up to 50% more in cashback and discounts.
The main advantage of this debit card for pensioners is the accrual of interest on the account balance. The maximum yield you can receive is 14% per annum. The bank will accrue this interest if you meet all the conditions:
- Apply for the “Mudrost” pension card if you don't have one yet.
- Receive your first pension payout by October 30, 2024.
- Receive pension payouts on the card every month.
However, there is a nuance. The bank will accrue 14% per annum only for the first 3 months from the date of the first deposit. After that, the account yield will be 7% per annum.
Pros:
- free issuance of the primary card;
- free maintenance without the need to meet conditions;
- free use of the mobile app and online banking;
- free top-ups at Moscow Credit Bank ATMs, via transfers from other banks by card number, and by phone number via the Faster Payments System (FPS);
- free cash withdrawals at ATMs of Moscow Credit Bank, Alfa-Bank, Raiffeisenbank, and UniCredit Bank without limits, and at ATMs of other banks for amounts up to 30,000 RUB per month;
- free transfers between your own accounts and to clients of other banks by phone number via the Faster Payments System for amounts up to 100,000 RUB per month;
- cashback of up to 30% on purchases;
- interest on the card balance of up to 14% per annum.
