Status "Pending Confirmation" in SberBank Online
Status "Pending Confirmation" in SberBank Online: what it is
Sometimes, when sending money via SberBank Online, a user may notice that their transfer has not gone through yet, and the operation has the status "Pending confirmation". There are several reasons for this:

- The most banal and frequent one is exceeding the daily or monthly transaction limit. In this case, for the transfer to go through after all, you just need to wait for the start of a new billing period.
- The second common reason is failures or maintenance work on the bank's side. In this case, you also cannot influence the speed of the transaction in any way.
- The third reason is too frequent transactions to the same recipient. Very often SberBank regards such transfers as suspicious.
- And the fourth is atypical transfer characteristics. For example, if a user always sent no more than 10,000 RUB at a time, a 100,000 RUB transaction may raise suspicions with the bank.
If in the first two cases you just need to wait until a new billing period arrives or technical work ends, then in the last two the user will be required to additionally confirm the transfer. Next, we will tell you how to do this.
What to do if a payment is pending confirmation
You can confirm a transfer in just two ways: by calling the hotline or at a SberBank branch. That is, you will not be able to resolve the issue without the help of the credit institution's employees. Let's consider both options.

By hotline phone
To confirm a transaction by phone, you need to call customer support. You can do this at the following numbers:
- 900 — free hotline for residents of Russia;
- +7 (945) 500-55-50 — for Sberbank customers living or temporarily staying abroad.
During the conversation with the employee, you will need to verify your identity. To do this, you will need to provide your full name, passport details, bank card number, and code word.
Note.
If the bank employee confirms the transaction, it will receive the status "Being executed by the bank." If the request is rejected, the message "Rejected by bank" will appear.
At a bank
The confirmation procedure at a Sberbank branch is practically the same, except that you will not need to confirm your identity with a code word — the employee will identify you by your passport.

How to cancel a payment in SberBank Online if the transfer is pending confirmation
It may also happen that you change your mind about transferring money and want to cancel the operation. You can only do this if the money has not yet reached the recipient. That is, as long as the transfer has the status "Awaiting confirmation", "Payment is being processed", or "Being executed by the bank", you can request a refund.
To do this, you will need to:
- log in to the desktop version of SberBank Online;
- select the required transfer;
- cancel it.
If you did everything correctly, your transaction status will change to "Aborted".
What other transfer statuses exist
Before the money reaches the transfer recipient, the transaction goes through several statuses:

- Draft. This status is assigned to an unfinished transfer when the user only partially fills out the application but does not submit it.
- Awaiting confirmation in the contact center. To complete the transfer, you need to contact the bank to confirm the application.
- Processing expected. Time is required to process the data. Most often, this status appears when you make a transaction outside of operating hours.
- Being executed by the bank. The request is being processed by the system.
- Executed. The operation has been executed by the bank.
- Completed. The transfer has been delivered to the recipient.
- Rejected by bank. The bank refused the transfer.
- The request was cancelled. The client recalled their transfer themselves.
- Aborted. The request was aborted by the user or a bank employee.
To summarize. Payment confirmation is a necessary measure. In most cases, it helps prevent fraud and protect customers from erroneous transfers.
