What are SMS commands
The use of SMS commands may be available to Sberbank cardholders. Using requests with various contents, you can:
- make transfers within the bank and to cards of other banks;
- top up a mobile phone account;
- check your bank card balance.
To be able to use SMS commands, the client needs to activate the SMS notification service (charged in accordance with current tariffs).
Your mobile operator may charge a fee for messages sent to the number 900.
How to transfer money via SMS
Sberbank is the only bank that provides the ability to transfer money via SMS. To communicate with the bank using this method, you need to send a message with specific content from your financial phone number to the short number 900. Next, we will look at all options for requests.
By phone number
You can top up a bank card using the mobile phone number linked to it. To do this, send a message to 900 with the following content: Transfer 9111111111 2000, where 9111111111 is the recipient's phone number, and 2000 is the amount. The money will be credited to the recipient's card connected to SMS banking or transaction alerts.
The minimum transfer amount is 10 RUB, and the maximum is 30,000 RUB.
By card number
To make a card-to-card transfer, send a message to the short number 900 with the following text: Transfer 1234123412341234 2000, where 1234123412341234 is the recipient's card number and 2000 is the transfer amount.
The minimum transfer amount is 10 RUB, and the maximum is 30,000 RUB.
Between your own accounts
You can transfer money between your Sberbank accounts via SMS. To do this, send an SMS to 900 with the text: Transfer 0000 1111 2000. Here, 0000 represents the last 4 digits of the debit card number, 1111 represents the last 4 digits of the credit card number, and 2000 is the transfer amount.
There are no limits on transfers between your own accounts.

How to transfer money to a mobile phone account
To top up your own mobile phone account, send an SMS message to 900 and specify the top-up amount, for example, 100 (the account will be topped up by 100 RUB).
If more than one Sberbank card is connected to your mobile phone, you must additionally specify the debit account. The SMS will look like this: 0123 100, where 0123 is the last 4 digits of the debit card number, and 100 is the top-up amount. The message should also be sent to 900.
The minimum account top-up amount is 10 RUB, and the maximum is 4,500 RUB per day.
You can top up someone else's mobile phone account. To do this, send a message with the following content to the short number 900: 9111111111 100, where 9111111111 is the phone number and 100 is the top-up amount. If you have multiple cards, you must specify the debit account. The request text will change; you need to enter 9111111111 100 1234, where the phone number comes first, followed by the top-up amount and the last 4 digits of the debit card.
Different limits apply to topping up someone else's mobile phone. The minimum transfer amount is 10 RUB, and the maximum is 1,500 RUB per day.
Today, the service of transferring money from a card via SMS is not popular. Despite this, Sberbank has kept this feature and still allows its clients to use it. Thanks to SMS transfers, you don't have to worry about not being able to complete a transaction if you lack internet access.
