About the card
"Credit card with cashback" is a credit card from Uralsib that allows holders to earn up to 3% on purchases. This is not the only advantage of the card. Others include the possibility of free maintenance, a high limit, and a high probability of approval.
Terms
You can get the Cashback credit card for free, but its maintenance is paid. The bank charges a monthly fee of 149 RUB for using the card. However, if you spend 10,000 RUB or more per month on the card, maintenance will be free for you.
As an additional service, you can enable notifications for deposits and withdrawals. This option is free for the first two months from the date of activation. After that, the cost is 99 RUB per month.
Uralsib offers one of the highest limits. For the Cashback credit card, it ranges from 10,000 to 1,500,000 RUB. You will only find out the approved amount when signing the contract. This is because the limit depends on factors including your credit history, debt burden, official salary, dependents, and so on.
However, it is almost impossible to get a high limit right away, especially if you are not a salary client of Uralsib. Most likely, you will be approved for no more than 100,000 RUB.
In the future, you can certainly increase the approved amount. To do this, you will need to use the credit card regularly and avoid missing mandatory minimum payments.
The interest-free period for this card is short — up to 62 days. It only applies to cashless payments for goods and services. This means that if you withdraw cash from the card or transfer credit funds from it, the bank will charge interest.
If you cannot pay off the credit card debt in full, you can make a mandatory minimum payment. For this card, it is 3%, but no less than 300 RUB. If you make the payment, you will not be in arrears, and the bank will not charge a penalty on the debt amount.
As we mentioned, the bank does not charge interest only on cashless payments for goods and services, provided the debt is paid off before the end of the interest-free period. In other cases, the overpayment on the card is:
- from 24.9% to 39.7% on cashless payments for goods and services if the debt is not paid before the end of the grace period;
- 39.7% per annum on cash withdrawals, transfers of credit funds, and equivalent transactions.
As stated above, if you do not have enough money to pay off the card debt in full, you need to make at least the mandatory minimum payments. If you do not do this, the bank will charge a penalty of 0.05% for each day of delay.
In addition, the bank will report the existence of overdue debt to the Credit Bureau. This means your credit history will be negatively affected.
Cash withdrawals and transfers of credit funds from this card are paid. For these transactions, you will have to pay a fee of 3.99% of the amount plus 300 RUB.
The credit card has a non-standard bonus program. Uralsib pays cashback of:
- 1% on all purchases paid for with cards connected to the "Uralsib Bonus" program;
- an additional 1% if you have a credit card with a balance of 30,000 RUB or more for at least one day in the month, or a consumer or auto loan with a remaining debt of 200,000 RUB or more;
- an additional 1% if you have a "Private", "Premium", or "Privat" service package.
Uralsib has quite strict requirements for borrowers. You can get the credit card if you meet the following criteria:
- Russian citizenship;
- with permanent registration in the Russian Federation;
- aged between 20 and 75 years;
- with at least 3 months of employment at your current job;
- with a steady income of 10,000 RUB per month if living in Moscow and 7,000 RUB per month if living in other regions of Russia.
To apply for a credit card, you only need a Russian passport. However, if you have a poor credit history or are requesting a high credit limit, the bank may also require documents verifying your income and employment.
Pros:
- free card issuance;
- free card maintenance for monthly purchases of 10,000 RUB or more;
- high credit limit — up to 1,500,000 RUB;
- opportunity to earn up to 3% cashback;
