Reviews of the VTB Everyday Debit Card

I received a disability pension of 15 thousand on the VTB Life Card, a VTB card for pensioners, for about 1 year until 11.2024. Suddenly, without warning, calls, or SMS, they blocked it twice - you cannot transfer money, the online bank says "account is blocked," everything is unavailable, you call the 1000 hotline and operators are busy, then go to the office to unblock. Unblocking via the 1000 phone line, biometrics, code word, or ATM (as is done in other banks, for example, in one major bank a bot unblocked me over the phone) is impossible, you only have to go to the office, where they unblocked my card in 30 minutes. They don't call or send SMS about suspicion. You only find out about the block after the fact, and this is despite the fact that I only kept pension money up to 70 thousand and occasionally transferred via the Faster Payments System, and I am 33 years old, meaning there were no grounds for blocking, no millions or suspicious transactions. They promised 7% on the balance - they didn't accrue any 7% on the account balance, which was the reason I got the VTB Pension Card in the first place. Boorish attitude of the bank towards clients, staff in the office arrive late as they please, slow, few offices. I transferred my money and pension payouts to another bank. Never stepping foot in this one with such an attitude.

I've been using the "Card for Life" debit card from VTB for six months now. It's very convenient to withdraw cash without commission at any ATM. I use it for daily purchases, paying bills, and online shopping. All transactions go through quickly and smoothly. Very pleased!

Got this card from VTB, well, like, interest on the balance sounds cool. But when I started using it, I realized not everything is so rosy. Cashback was promised, but it's only for certain categories, and even then not always credited. Online banking lags; sometimes I log in to check my balance or statement, and the system freezes. Card-to-card transfers are fine, but the fees are harsh. Also, customer support leaves much to be desired, they take a long time to answer questions.
