About the card
One of the most profitable debit cards of 2024 is the "OTP Karta" from OTP Bank. It offers cardholders very favorable maintenance terms: no fees for issuance and use, free top-ups, cash withdrawals, intra-bank and interbank transfers, an attractive loyalty program, and a high interest rate on the savings account balance. Let's talk about the tariffs of OTP Karta in more detail.
Terms
The bank does not charge any fee for card issuance. You also won't have to pay for an additional card. Maintenance of OTP Karta is also completely free.
If you want to receive notifications about deposits and withdrawal transactions, you can connect the alert service. Its cost is 99 RUB per month. At the same time, transaction notifications are free during the first two months after the bank card activation.
You can top up the card for free using one of the following methods:
- by card-to-card transfer from cards of other banks;
- via SBP (Faster Payments System) transfer from cards of other banks;
- with cash at OTP Bank ATMs and cash desks.
You can withdraw cash from the debit card for free at OTP Bank cash desks without limits. This is also possible at OTP Bank and Gazprombank ATMs up to 500,000 RUB per month. If this limit is exceeded, you will need to pay a fee of 2%, but not less than 250 RUB.
Free cash withdrawal is also provided at ATMs and cash desks of other banks up to 50,000 RUB per month. In the first two months from the debit card receipt date, this can be done without additional conditions, and thereafter — with purchases starting from 7,000 RUB per month. If the limit is exceeded or the condition is not met, the fee will be the same — 2%, but not less than 250 RUB.
You can transfer money for free between your accounts up to 30 million RUB per month, as well as to other OTP Bank clients. You can also send money to clients of other banks via the Faster Payments System (FPS) up to 5 million RUB per month. For exceeding this limit, you will need to pay a fee of 0.5%, but not more than 1,500 RUB.
Interbank transfers by card number are paid. The fee for such transactions is 2%, but not less than 150 RUB.
A profitable bonus program applies to the card. By paying with it, you can receive:
- 3% cashback for purchases of groceries and alcohol in supermarkets;
- 5% for payment of housing and utility services;
- 5% for paying for purchases and fuel at gas stations;
- 5% for payments in restaurants, cafes, and fast food.
The bank awards cashback only for purchases starting from 7,000 RUB per month. The maximum reward amount you can receive is 3,000 bonus rubles per month. You can convert the earned points into rubles as soon as at least 500 bonus rubles are accumulated in your special account.
The bank does not accrue interest on the card balance. But along with the card, the credit institution automatically opens a savings account. Its yield is as follows:
- 6% per annum is accrued by the credit institution every day regardless of debit card spending;
- 17% per annum — monthly with spending from 40,000 RUB per month.
Pros:
- free card issuance;
- free card maintenance;
- free top-up via card number transfer or phone number via the Faster Payments System, as well as in cash at OTP Bank ATMs and teller windows;
- free cash withdrawals at OTP Bank's own cash desks without limits, at OTP Bank and Gazprombank ATMs in amounts up to 500,000 RUB per month, as well as at devices of other credit institutions in amounts up to 50,000 RUB per month subject to conditions;
- free transfers between own accounts in amounts up to 30 million RUB per month and to other OTP Bank clients without limits, as well as to clients of other third-party organizations by phone number via the Faster Payments System in amounts up to 5 million RUB per month;
- accrual of up to 5% cashback on purchases;
- accrual of up to 17% per annum on the savings account balance.
