How to order a 50-120 day interest-free credit card
You can apply for a credit card with a 100-day grace period from anywhere with internet access. Main mistakes when using cards with a grace period: how to avoid them
To attract clients by advertising the product, financial institutions focus on the grace period rather than the interest rate. Statistics show that many credit card holders—whether it's 120 days without interest or other terms—fail to fit within the interest-free period. The reason lies not in the lack of funds. What is it? — let's figure it out.
- Many banks, when issuing a card with no interest for 60 days or more, use the preposition "up to" in their terms of use. This is the main parameter overlooked by cardholders.
The grace period is calculated in three ways, but the most popular is the billing and payment periods. The billing period is the time when the borrower uses credit funds, for example, from the 1st to the 30th. After 30 days, a statement is generated for all transactions carried out on the card during that month. After that, the payment period begins — the days during which the user must settle and pay off all debts. It takes 20-25 days. This time — 30 + 25 days — makes up the interest-free period.

You withdraw 20,000 RUB from the account on June 1, which means you need to return these funds before the 25th of the following month. If you withdraw money on June 10, you also need to return it before July 25. But (!) in this case, the grace period will be only 45 days.
Please note! Financial institutions can set the billing period from the card activation date, the date of the first purchase, or the plastic card issue date.
- Not all transactions are eligible for the grace period. Purchases may fall under the grace period, but you will have to pay interest for cash withdrawals at an ATM.
- Payments made through third-party institutions are credited to the account within 1-5 business days. This may happen after the end of the interest-free period.

- ATB Bank offers up to 92 days without interest on its product — "90 darom". Thereafter, the interest rate will be 29%. There is 1% cashback. After submitting an application, a decision is made within 1 hour.
- The most popular credit card is the 120-day interest-free card issued by Alfa-Bank. It has a substantial limit — up to 1 million RUB, and a decision is made in 2 minutes.
