Qiwi Bank

QIWI Bank is a small Moscow-based bank. It was first registered in 1993 by the Pension Fund of Russia to service pensioner accounts in Belgorod and the Belgorod Region. Today, the bank is a key element in the operation of Russia's largest electronic payment system, QIWI. Its core activity involves processing payments for affiliated payment systems.

In 2008, the financial institution's shareholder structure expanded, and Kirill Evdakov became the chairman of its management board. Subsequently, he became one of the bank's beneficiaries.

In 2011, the credit organization was named QIWI Bank. In 2017, the QIWI group acquired the brands and software of Rocketbank and Tochka banks from Otkritie. Subsequently, these companies operated under QIWI Bank's license.

In February 2024, the Central Bank revoked QIWI Bank's license.

Today, QIWI Bank's shareholder list is as follows:

• 79.1% of the company's shares are held by BNY (Nominees) Limited;
• 16.98% — by Sergey Solonin;
• 1.85% — by Boris Kim.

The remaining 2.07% of shares are distributed among other shareholders. 

QIWI Bank does not engage in traditional banking activities — it ensures the operation of the QIWI electronic payment system. Thus, the company's customers can use the following services:

• settlement and cash services;
• internet banking;
• foreign exchange transactions;
• payment acceptance;
• payment of taxes and public services;
• with overdraft and many others.
