At the end of the ranking, we will tell you how to take out microloans correctly so as not to end up in a debt trap:
- When applying for a loan, always match your desires with your capabilities. If you realize that you will not be able to repay the microloan on time, reduce its amount or abandon it altogether.
- Remember that a microloan is "urgent" assistance. That is, until payday. Any long-term microloans are financially disadvantageous.
- When choosing lesser-known MFIs, pay attention to whether they have a license. You can view the list of legal microfinance organizations on the Central Bank's website.
- When concluding an agreement, be sure to read all its clauses. This will help you avoid hidden fees and imposed insurance.
If you nevertheless realize that a delay is unavoidable, do not try to evade responsibility and hide from MFI employees. In this case, we advise you to inform the lender about the problem in advance. You may be offered profitable ways to solve it.
