The history of Bank Russian Standard can be characterized by several significant dates:

• 1999 — the beginning of the financial institution's operations;
• 2012 — the bank entered the ranks of leaders in the number of loans issued to individuals;
• 2017 — the number of issued POS loans increased by 70%;
• 2018 — Bank Russian Standard's profit increased 3.5 times, reaching 8.491 billion RUB;
• also in 2018 — an analysis of customer spending with different income levels was conducted; 
• also in 2018 — an automated HR office opened in Saratov;
• 2019 — Moody's agency withdrew the bank's ratings;
• also in 2019, a fine of 26 million RUB was imposed for bribery;
• 2020 — the court refused to transfer a 49% stake in the bank to Citibank as repayment of bond debt; 
• also in 2020 — lawsuits from Pala Assets and Aleia Trading were dismissed; 
• also in 2020 — the company connected to the Digital Profile service;
• also in 2020 — an installment service for Visa card purchases was launched;
• also in 2020 — lawsuits were filed over allegations of issuing uncollectible loans and the alienation of shares in a wine and spirits holding company;
• Also, in 2020, the company Pala Assets planned to seize 49% of the bank's shares.
• In 2021, Sergey Berestovsky was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Standard Bank.

Almost 100% of the financial organization's shares are owned by ZAO Kompaniya Russkiy Standart and ZAO Rust Inc. Regarding the company's management, Sergey Viktorovich Berestovoy is the Chairman of the Management Board, and Rustam Vladimirovich Tariko is the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
