Tinkoff Black debit card for non-residents of the Russian Federation from T-Bank
About the card
Banks are reluctant to cooperate with foreign citizens, so getting even a debit card can be quite difficult. Credit organizations often justify their refusal to issue a card by the lack of a Russian passport. An exception is T-Bank. Therefore, if you are a citizen of another state, we recommend getting the "Tinkoff Black for non-residents of the Russian Federation" card and enjoying all the benefits of its maintenance.
Terms
The issuance of primary and additional cards, as well as their reissue and courier delivery to your home or office, are completely free. The annual maintenance fee is 99 RUB per month. However, it can be free if you meet one of the following conditions:
- maintain a minimum balance across card, savings, investment accounts, and deposits of at least 50,000 RUB per month;
- have a loan with T-Bank issued to this card account;
- have an active "Tinkoff Pro" subscription.
Additionally, you can enable transaction alerts. The cost of this service is 59 RUB per month with a "Tinkoff Mobile" subscription number and 99 RUB per month without it.
You can use the mobile app and online banking free of charge. The bank also charges no fees for notifications regarding card issuance, top-ups, activation, blocking, or for transactions made via online banking and the mobile app.
You can top up your card for free at Tinkoff Bank's own ATMs, as well as by transfer from another bank using any of the methods suggested below:
- by card number;
- by phone number via the Faster Payments System;
- via bank account details.
You can also top up your Mir payment system card for free at partner bank ATMs, provided that the transaction amount does not exceed 150,000 RUB per month. Otherwise, a 2% fee will apply.
You can also withdraw cash for free at T-Bank's own ATMs for amounts up to 500,000 RUB per month. Exceeding this limit will incur a 2% fee, with a minimum of 90 RUB. In addition, you can withdraw cash for free at ATMs of other banks if you meet the following conditions:
- you withdraw at least 3,000 RUB per transaction;
- you withdraw no more than 100,000 RUB per month.
In other cases, you will need to pay a 2% fee, but not less than 90 RUB.
You can transfer money for free between your own accounts within T-Bank, as well as to other bank customers. You can make fee-free transfers to other credit institutions by phone number via the Faster Payments System for amounts up to 5 million RUB per month.
Additionally, you can transfer money to clients of other banks for free by card number for amounts up to 20,000 RUB per month. Exceeding this limit will incur a 1.5% fee, with a minimum of 30 RUB.
By paying with your debit card, you can receive:
- from 1% to 15% of the spent amount for purchases in selected categories;
- up to 30% for purchases made via special offers from T-Bank.
The maximum cashback you can earn on purchases in selected categories is 5,000 bonus rubles per month with an active Tinkoff Pro subscription and 3,000 bonus rubles per month without it. For purchases under special offers, the bank awards no more than 6,000 bonus rubles per month. Cashback is credited to the card in actual rubles, so you can spend it at your discretion.
You can earn 5% per annum on a balance of up to 300,000 RUB, provided you make purchases totaling at least 3,000 RUB per month and have an active Tinkoff Pro, Tinkoff Premium, or Tinkoff Private subscription.

T-Bank has no physical branches, so you can only apply for a debit card online — on the official website or in the mobile app. To do this, you need to:
- go to the T-Bank website;
- click the "Apply for card" button;
- provide your full name, mobile phone number, email address, date of birth, and citizenship;
- provide your nickname and promo code, if you have one;
- click the "Apply" button;
- enter the confirmation code from the SMS message;
- provide the full delivery address, date, and time of the meeting with the courier;
- click the "Order Delivery" button.
After you submit your application, a T-Bank representative will contact you to agree on the location, date, and time of the meeting with the courier. On the scheduled day, all you have to do is sign the card servicing agreement and activate the card in the mobile app.
