To make your trips pay off as quickly as possible, the financial services platform suggests applying for the Alfa-Bank RZD debit card, which offers a number of privileges for its holders. The co-branded banking product allows you to guaranteedly earn points for purchases, which can later be exchanged for various services within the Russian Railways system. For every 30 RUB spent using the card, you are guaranteed to receive 1.5 points, which can later be exchanged for services in the Russian Railways system.
Rules for using the RZD bank debit card from Alfa-Bank
An important condition of the Alfa-Bank RZD debit card for users: if you spend at least 20,000 RUB per month, you can save up for one free ticket for a Sapsan train ride—for example, to St. Petersburg from Moscow—in about 6 months. The bank offers two categories of the card—Platinum and Standard—which have distinct standards.

General rules for participating in the bonus program
To participate in the loyalty bonus program, according to reviews of the Russian Railways debit card from Alfa-Bank, the following conditions apply.
- Welcome miles/points are awarded for the "Optimum" option in the amount of 500 miles, for the "Comfort" option – 1,000, and for the "Maximum+" option – 1,000. For the welcome bonuses to be credited, at least 1 transaction must be made within 45 days of card activation.
- By making purchases ranging from 10,000 RUB to 70,000 RUB per month, you can receive 1.0 point for every 30 RUB spent on purchases.
- By making purchases in the amount of 70,000 RUB or more during the reporting period, you can receive 1.5 points for every 30 RUB spent.
- For Platinum cardholders, the Premium option is available, where you can get up to 1.75 points for every 30 RUB spent. This option is not available for the Standard card.
- If purchases totaling less than 10,000 RUB are made during the reporting month, no bonus points are awarded.
- The points earned can subsequently be spent on purchasing Russian Railways tickets in the "Sapsan" category.
Premium cardholders can receive additional bonuses from the Mastercard payment system by participating in the "Priceless Cities" program.

- The card applicant must be a citizen of the Russian Federation.
- The age of the bank product recipient is 18 years or older.
- Registration in the region where the bank is located is required.
- Having a mobile phone is required.
In most cases, the card is delivered by a courier service, however, a number of regions only allow for the bank card to be picked up at an office.

The number of points earned can be checked on the website rzd-bonus.ru, while completing a simple authorization procedure. Points will also be available in your Personal Account (setup required). Points are credited no later than 30 days after you make a purchase. If you do not use your bonus points within 24 months, they automatically expire.

My card has been approved, how do I pick it up?
It all depends on how you filled out the application. If courier delivery is available in your city, the card will be brought to your home. If not, you can pick up the debit card at the bank branch.
