How to create a QIWI wallet
How to create a QIWI wallet?
You can create a QIWI wallet in three ways: from a computer, a phone, or a terminal. Each of these options is quite simple and straightforward. Nevertheless, let's discuss all three methods in a bit more detail.
How to create a QIWI wallet from a computer?
To create a wallet from a computer, you need to:
- go to the official website at link;
- click the "Create wallet" button;
- enter your mobile phone number, to which the wallet will then be linked;
- come up with a password to access the service—it is important that it consists of at least eight characters and includes both numbers and Latin letters.
How to create a QIWI wallet from a phone?
Creating a wallet from a phone is just as easy as from a computer. To do this, you need to:
- download the mobile application from Google Play or the App Store;
- enter the mobile phone number to which the QIWI wallet will then be linked;
- come up with a password to access the electronic wallet.
How to create a QIWI wallet via a terminal?
Creating a wallet via a terminal is an option for those who cannot do it from a computer or phone. The procedure is slightly different from the ones described above. To register a wallet, you need to:
- find any QIWI terminal — usually, they are located in many large stores;
- press the "Service Payment" button;
- select "QIWI Wallet";
- enter the phone number to which the wallet will then be linked;

- enter the confirmation code from the SMS message.
How to create a Visa card from the QIWI payment system?
After creating a QIWI wallet, you can also apply for a bank card. The card automatically becomes linked to the wallet, which is convenient since you will have a single account for everything.
Currently, you can apply for the following cards:
- “QIWI Mir Corn Card” — its validity period is years, and the issuance fee is a one-time payment of 349 RUB;
- “QIWI Virtual Card” — its validity period is one year, and issuance is free with no additional conditions;
- “QIWI Mir Virtual Card” — its validity period is three years, and issuance is also free;
- “QIWI Priority Card” — its validity period is three years, and its issuance is included in the “QIWI Priority” package.
Getting a plastic card is simple. To do this, you need to:
- go to the official website at link;
- select “Bank Cards” in the menu;
- press the “All Cards” button;
- select the desired card and click the “Order Card” button;
- log in to your QIWI wallet or register in it;
- enter your last name, first name, patronymic, and delivery address;
- choose the delivery method — Russian Post for free or courier for 300 RUB;
- pay for the card issuance.

What wallet statuses exist?
There are several wallet statuses. The higher the level, the more features are available to the QIWI client. Let's talk about what statuses exist and what functions are available with them:
- Minimum. This status is assigned to the wallet immediately after registration if its owner has not provided passport details. You can store no more than 15,000 RUB on it and make payments of up to 40,000 RUB per month.
- Basic. This status is assigned when passport details are provided. You can store no more than 60,000 RUB on it and make payments of up to 200,000 RUB per month. A plastic card can be issued for such a wallet, allowing you to withdraw up to 5,000 RUB per transaction and up to 40,000 RUB per month from it.
- Professional. In this case, you need to undergo full personal identification. This can be done at Svyaznoy or Euroset stores, Contact money transfer points, and other locations. After identification, you can store no more than 600,000 RUB in the wallet and make payments of up to 4,000,000 RUB per month. A plastic card can also be issued for it, allowing you to withdraw up to 100,000 RUB per day and up to 200,000 RUB per month from it.
How to top up a QIWI wallet?
To start using the wallet for paying for services and purchases, you must first top it up. You can do this in the following ways:
- with a bank card of any payment system without commission for amounts starting from 2,000 RUB;
- from your account at another bank without commission via the Faster Payments System;
- from a mobile phone balance — the commission in this case depends on your mobile operator's tariffs;
- via online banking without commission;
- with an online loan without commission;
- using bank details without commission;
- in cash at QIWI terminals without commission for amounts starting from 1,501 RUB;
