Refinancing at MTS Bank
About the loan
If a borrower encounters financial difficulties and can no longer service the loan under the original terms, or simply wants to renegotiate the agreement at a more favorable rate, they can apply for refinancing. This service is available at many Russian banks.
Terms
At MTS Bank, borrowers can refinance loans obtained from other lending institutions for an amount ranging from 20,000 to 5,000,000 RUB for a term of 12 to 60 months. The interest rate ranges from 5.9% to 30% per annum. The bank determines the overpayment amount for each borrower on an individual basis.
MTS allows borrowers to fully or partially repay their loans ahead of schedule. To do this, they must notify the lender in writing of their decision and pay off the principal amount along with the interest accrued for the actual period the funds were used.
In case of a delayed monthly payment, the bank charges a penalty of 20% per annum on the overdue principal and the interest accrued for the use of the funds.
Borrowers who meet the following requirements can apply for refinancing:
- are citizens of the Russian Federation;
- at the age of 20 at the time of loan application;
- have a regular source of income.
To obtain a loan, providing a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation is sufficient. However, the bank reserves the right to request additional documents confirming income and employment.
Upon loan approval, the bank independently transfers the funds to pay off the refinanced loan. If the borrower needs an additional amount, they can receive it in cash at an MTS Bank branch or MTS retail stores, as well as on the MTS Dengi Weekend debit card.
Monthly payments are automatically deducted from an account opened with MTS Bank. You can deposit funds into it using the following methods:
- by transfer between your own accounts opened with MTS Bank;
- by transfer from cards of other banks;
- in cash via MTS ATMs;
- in cash via MTS cash desks;
- in cash through self-service terminals in MTS retail stores.
