Loan termup to 15 years
Even at 75, you may urgently need money. For example, to pay for medical treatment, home repairs, or household appliances. If you have no savings of your own, you can apply for a bank loan. However, keep in mind that far from all financial institutions are ready to work with pensioners of this age. We will explain whether it is possible to get a loan at 75, what is required for this, and where you can apply for money today.

Is it possible to get a loan at 75?
Far from all banks issue loans to pensioners aged 75. This is due to a lack of sufficient income (pension payments are often not enough to make monthly payments) as well as health conditions.
Yet, there are companies that lend to pensioners. However, their lending terms are not the most favorable:
- Loan amount. As a rule, pensioners aged 75 can get no more than 500,000 to 800,000 RUB, whereas younger borrowers can apply for amounts ranging from 10,000 to 5 million RUB.
- Loan term. Banks rarely lend to pensioners for a long period. The maximum you can count on at 75 is an interest-bearing loan for up to 1-2 years. Meanwhile, other borrowers can get a loan for a term of 1 to 5 years.
- Interest rate. In banks that do not have special lending programs for pensioners, the rate is close to the maximum. Financial institutions mostly offer overpayments of up to 40% or even up to 50% per annum.
- Document requirements. The borrower will need to provide a certificate confirming the availability and size of pension payments. Some banks may also request documents confirming additional income, if any.
- Collateral. If a pensioner requests a large amount, they will most likely need to provide collateral, such as a vehicle or real estate. Otherwise, they are likely to be denied a loan.
What is needed for a pensioner to get a loan approved?
First of all, to get a loan, you need to meet the requirements set by the bank. As a rule, they are as follows:
- Russian citizenship;
- permanent registration and place of residence in the city where the bank branch is located;
- age under 75;
- a regular source of income;
- A good credit history.
As mentioned above, applying for a loan at 75 may require the following documents:
- Russian passport;
- a certificate confirming the availability and size of pension payments;
- a certificate confirming additional income, if any;
- documents for the collateral property, if the client is taking out a secured loan.
The loan application procedure itself is as follows:
- Reviewing loan terms across different banks. First of all, we recommend paying attention to special consumer loan programs for pensioners.
- Submitting an application. To apply for a loan, you need to fill out a short application form, indicating the loan amount and term, full name, registration and actual residential addresses, employment details, income, and marital status. You can apply either online or at a bank branch.
- Wait for a positive decision on the application. As a rule, banks provide a response within 10-15 minutes after submitting the application form. In rare cases, this may take up to 1-2 days.
- In case of a positive decision, sign the loan agreement and collect the money. The most common and convenient way to receive a loan is by depositing it onto a bank card.
