Everyone may face a situation where they urgently need a large amount of money for a long period. If you have no savings of your own, you can apply for a bank loan. But what should you do if someone has a bad credit history and is rejected by all lending institutions? Turning to an MFI can be a way out of this situation. Some microcredit companies issue not only small payday loans but also large, long-term microloans. We will explain the terms on which you can get a loan with monthly payments and where you can apply for money today.

Is it worth taking out a microloan with monthly payments?
Microloans with monthly payments are an alternative to consumer loans. They can be used by people who are turned down by banks due to a bad credit history or high debt load. However, keep in mind that the terms for such microloans are much worse than those for consumer loans from banks.
Why you should take out a loan with monthly payments:
- Large loan amount. While a short-term microloan can be obtained for up to 30,000 RUB, a long-term microloan with monthly payments is available for up to 100,000 RUB.
- Long loan term. Like the amount, it is larger. A regular short-term loan can be obtained for a period of up to 30 days, whereas a microloan with monthly payments is available for up to 12 months.
- Convenient loan repayment. A standard short-term microloan can only be repaid with a single lump-sum payment at the end of the contract term. Repaying a long-term microloan is more convenient: in equal installment payments every month.
- Lower interest rate. As a rule, the overpayment on short-term microloans is at the maximum limit allowed by law: 0.8% per day or 292% per annum. The interest rate on long-term microloans is lower, starting from 0.4% per day.
- Simple application process. Getting a loan with monthly payments is much easier than a consumer loan. As a rule, a Russian citizen's passport is all that is required. As an exception, MFIs may also request SNILS and INN details.
- High approval rate. As mentioned earlier, microfinance organizations are more lenient toward borrowers than banks. Therefore, even people with informal employment and poor credit histories receive positive decisions on their applications.
- Ability to get money at any time and from anywhere in Russia. The loan issuance procedure is automated in almost all MFIs. Therefore, you can apply to microcredit companies at any time of the day from anywhere in Russia.
What are the terms for obtaining a long-term loan?
As mentioned above, a microloan with monthly payments is an alternative to a consumer loan for those who, for whatever reason, cannot obtain credit from a bank, for example, due to a lack of official employment, a poor credit history, or a high debt load.
You can get a long-term loan under the following conditions:
- Loan amount. It is smaller than bank consumer loans. As a rule, microfinance organizations issue microloans ranging from 30,000 to 100,000 RUB. However, if you provide a car as collateral, you can get up to 1-2 million RUB.
- Loan term. As a rule, a long-term microloan can be obtained for a period of 2 to 12 months. However, in the case of microloans secured by a vehicle title (PTS), the loan term is 2-3 years.
- Interest rate. It is lower than for short-term payday loans, but much higher than for regular consumer loans. As a rule, the overpayment on such microloans starts from 0.4% per day.
- Collateral. If a person does not have a very good credit history or is requesting a very large amount, the microcredit company may request a vehicle as collateral.

Frequently asked questions
Finally, let us answer the most frequent questions that readers may have.
How to get a loan with monthly payments on favorable terms?
The lowest interest rate in microfinance organizations is provided for borrowers who have previously taken out loans with that MFI and repaid the loan on time. Therefore, before applying for a long-term microloan, it makes sense to take out a few short-term ones.
How can you receive a microloan?
As a rule, a long-term microloan can be received via transfer to a bank card or bank account using routing details. Some MFIs also transfer money to identified electronic wallets or issue cash at their branches.
Can you get a microloan if you don't have official employment?
Many microcredit companies work with clients who do not have official employment. However, keep in mind that the probability of application approval for such borrowers is lower, and the loan terms are less favorable.
