Some people find themselves in an unpleasant situation when there is still a week left until payday, and there is no money left for daily necessities. At the same time, not everyone can turn to relatives or friends for help with this problem or take out a small bank loan. If this happens, turning to an MFO is a great way out. Here, clients can access up to 30,000 RUB until payday—mostly for a term of up to 30 days. And if you find a microcredit company that runs a promo for new borrowers, you can use this money for free—interest-free. We will share the features of loans to a VTB card, what requirements MFOs impose on borrowers, and how to protect yourself from a debt trap when taking out a microloan.

What are the features of microloans to a VTB card?
Loans credited to a VTB bank card are almost no different from microcredits that can be obtained in other ways. However, we can highlight several of its features:
- Quick application process. Filling out the application usually takes no more than 10–15 minutes. And application review happens almost instantly. That is, the entire procedure takes no more than half an hour. In rare cases, if the microfinance organization needs to verify the borrower's information, this period can be extended to 2–3 hours.
- Convenience of using the microloan. Since the microcredit company transfers the money to a bank card, you can use it immediately upon receipt. That is, the borrower does not need to withdraw funds from the account if they want to pay for purchases cashless.
- Convenience of applying for a microcredit. Today, almost all MFOs allow you to apply for money at interest online—on the official website or via a convenient mobile app. And since the application approval process is automated, you can apply for a microcredit at any time of the day and from anywhere in Russia.
- Flexible lending terms. Some MFOs only offer payday loans for up to 30,000 RUB for a term of up to 30 days. But some companies also offer long-term microloans for up to 100,000 RUB for a term of up to 1 year.
However, the lending terms here are exactly the same as for microloans that can be obtained in other ways (for example, to an electronic wallet, bank account, or via a money transfer system):
- Loan amount. Usually, you can get payday money at an MFO, meaning up to 30,000 RUB. Some microfinance organizations also allow you to take out a long-term microloan of up to 100,000 RUB. In rare companies, borrowers can apply for a loan secured by a vehicle title (PTS). In this case, the maximum limit is 1,000,000 RUB.
- Loan term. In microcredit companies that issue payday loans, you can get a loan for up to 30 days. For long-term microloans, the duration is up to 1 year. And if the borrower takes out a loan secured by a vehicle title, they can get money for up to 2–3 years.
- Interest rate. Most microcredit companies apply the maximum overpayment permitted by law. It is 0.8% per day or 292% per annum. As a rule, this interest rate applies to short-term loans. For long-term microloans and loans secured by a vehicle title, the overpayment is lower.
Who can get a microloan to a VTB card, and what documents are needed?
Getting a loan from a microfinance organization is very simple because MFOs are loyal to their clients. People with a bad credit history, unofficial employment, and low salaries can get money here.
That is, from the above, we can conclude that microfinance organizations do not impose special requirements on borrowers. Usually, they look like this:
- Russian citizenship;
- permanent or temporary registration in the Russian Federation;
- age from 18 to 80 years;
- full legal capacity at the time of signing the agreement;
- no criminal record.
As for documents, usually only a Russian internal passport is required to get a microloan. Some microfinance companies also request SNILS and INN details. If the borrower needs a larger microloan amount, they can provide certificates confirming income and place of work. And if a person takes out a loan secured by a vehicle title, they will also need documents for the collateral property.
In addition to documents, getting a microcredit requires a device with internet access, a mobile phone with an active SIM card, and a personalized VTB card with a positive balance.
How to protect yourself when taking out a microloan?
Even a small loan can cause you to fall into a debt trap if you contact an unscrupulous MFO or miss payments. To avoid becoming a debtor, we recommend following a few simple rules when receiving and repaying a microloan:
- Check if the microcredit company has a license to issue microloans. You can clarify this information on the official website of the Central Bank of Russia in the register of microloan organizations.
- Review the loan agreement. We recommend paying attention to the total amount of the microloan, including interest that will need to be paid. This will help assess your financial capabilities and solvency.
- Carefully study the terms of the agreement. We recommend making sure that the microcredit company has not included paid additional services in it, such as SMS notifications or insurance. Usually, the cost for unnecessary options is deducted from the principal loan amount.
- Do not borrow a large amount for a long period. For this, it is better to take out a consumer loan. The interest rate even on long-term microloans is significantly higher than on bank loans. Overpayment at an MFO can reach 292% per annum.
- Observe the microloan repayment deadlines. Even with a delay of just a few days, the lender charges not only interest for using the money, but also a penalty for violating the terms of the agreement.
- Keep receipts and certificates confirming the repayment of the microloan. They will be needed if a disputed situation arises with the lender. Thus, the borrower will be able to prove that they paid off the debt to the microcredit company.
