There are situations when you urgently need money, but cannot borrow from relatives or take out a bank loan. In this case, turning to a microfinance organization is a great way out. But what if a person does not have their own bank card? Can they get a loan on someone else's card? We will answer this question in the article.
Can you get a microloan on someone else's bank card?
Microfinance organizations licensed by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation do not issue microloans to someone else's bank card. MFIs will refuse to issue a loan even to the borrower's card if it is not personalized.
In case of any discrepancy between the personal data specified in the application, on the card, and in the person's documents, the microcredit company will deny the loan. Furthermore, the very attempt to apply for a microloan using someone else's bank card will be regarded by the MFI as a fraudulent act. If the fact of receiving a loan on someone else's card is proven, the borrower may be held criminally liable under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
You can take out a loan on someone else's bank card in only one case: if there is a notarized power of attorney to receive the loan issued to the person who owns the card. In this case, the application must contain the bank card number and the contact details of its holder.

If the borrower cannot take out a microloan on their own bank card, they can still try to get the money. To do this, they can use one of the following effective options:
- Find a microfinance organization that does not require bank card verification. Card verification is not a mandatory step when taking out a microloan. If the borrower does not have plastic, they can use alternative ways to receive money. For example, they can take out a loan to a bank account or electronic wallet.
- Take out a loan on a special card. Some microfinance companies transfer money to a special card. The MFO provides such cards for the duration of the microloan. Such a card can be compared to a regular credit card, but without a grace period and a revolving credit limit.
- Take out a microloan in the name of a relative or friend. If money is needed urgently and a loved one is aware of the difficult financial situation, they can provide their bank card. But in this case, the loan will be issued in their name. To convince a person to take out a microloan for you, we recommend writing a promissory note that guarantees the repayment of the debt.
How to get a microloan if you don't have a bank card?
If a person does not have their own bank card, they will not be able to use someone else's card. But this does not mean they have no way to get a microloan. There are alternative ways to apply for a loan. Let's talk about them in a little more detail.
Instant bank card
If a person does not yet have a bank card, they can get one on the day of application at the bank. To do this, they need to apply for the issuance of an instant card. You can get it immediately after signing the contract with the bank — that is, in 20-30 minutes.
Например, оформить такую карточку можно в СберБанке, Альфа-Банке или Т-Банк Банке.
Bank account
If a person does not have a card, they can open a bank account. You don't even need to visit a credit institution branch to do this. You can do it in your online banking account or mobile app. It is important that the account is opened in the borrower's name.
You can cash out money from a bank account only at a branch of the credit institution. This will require a passport.
Electronic wallet
You can also receive money to an identified YooMoney wallet. Just like an account, it must be registered in the borrower's name. Money from the YooMoney electronic wallet can be withdrawn to any bank card.
Cash
You can get a microcredit in cash only at a microfinance organization branch. Not all MFOs provide this opportunity. For this reason, before applying for a microloan, we recommend checking whether you can get cash. You can do this on the credit institution's website or by calling the hotline.
Money transfer system
You can also receive loan funds through the Zolotaya Korona money transfer system. For this, you will only need the borrower's phone number. You can withdraw money from the system to any bank card.
Why might a loan application be rejected?
Microfinance organizations rarely refuse to issue microloans. Usually, such companies are loyal to all clients, even those with a bad credit history or high debt load.
Nevertheless, some clients face loan rejections. This usually happens for the following reasons:
- Due to a very poor credit history. Despite the fact that microfinance organizations are loyal to borrowers with a poor credit history, they may refuse a loan for this very reason. As a rule, people who have current overdue payments, court proceedings, or an active bankruptcy procedure face rejections.
- Due to a zero credit history. In this case, the microfinance organization cannot assess the person's solvency because they have not had any credits or other loans in the past. But this is a rare reason for loan refusal. This usually happens when a client requests too large of an amount.
- Due to high debt load. Currently, banks and MFOs issue loans to people whose debt load indicator does not exceed 50% of their salary. If the DLI is more than 50% of the salary, the borrower will most likely be refused a microcredit even in the most loyal microfinance organizations.
- Due to applying to several microcredit companies at once. If a person applies to several MFOs at once, it means they are in a difficult financial situation. Microfinance organizations will most likely not cooperate with a person experiencing severe financial difficulties.
- Due to inaccurate information in the application. Some borrowers, in order to increase the likelihood of loan approval, provide inaccurate data. For example, they inflate their salary or write down a nonexistent place of work. If the lender discovers the fraud, they will not only refuse the loan but also blacklist the client and transfer information about the incident to the Credit History Bureau.
- Due to non-compliance with the requirements of the microfinance company. For example, if an MFO issues microloans starting from the age of 21, it will refuse a client who has just turned 18. At the same time, information about the refusal will be reflected in the credit history.
- Due to the lack of a military ID. If the client is of draft age and does not have a military ID, they will most likely be denied a microloan. This is because lenders do not want to take risks and lend money to a person who may be called up for active military service and fail to repay the debt.

Conclusion
To sum up. If you do not have your own bank card, you should not try to take out a loan on someone else's. The microfinance organization will regard this as fraud and reject the application. To get money with interest, you can use alternative methods. For example, take out a microloan on an instant bank card (you can get it on the day you apply to the bank), an electronic wallet, a bank account, or through a money transfer system.
